Asen Asenov Chief.Engineer

I started my experience on M/Y Persuader as chief engineer, i got this job in the shipyard, providing launching and preparation for the season. We are a busy charter boat, we do all boat show in Italy, we have on board, CAT engines and Kohler generators, I do normally 5 service each generator during the season. We also have watermaker, hamann system, seakeeper, ipad av/it.

I am currently following the shipyard period for this vessel for the second time, with yard and work organization being a crew reduced to two members.

• 2nd Engineer on 50 m M/Y Heesen, during my working period on M/Y Masa I started as deck/engineer, taking care of the boat's routines such as cleaning/washing, general maintenance, painting, teak repairs, assisting in the engine room, DG service (John Deere / Zenoro) ME service (MTU 16V 4000 M73L) and pump maintenance. When the engineer is not on board, I am responsible for starting engines, generators, stabilizers and the rest of the systems and to carry out the weekly operational test. During the break of the first season, I have built experience in working on the vessel whilst being refit in the shipyard. During the refit period I dedicated myself mainly to the engine room, helping the chief engineer carrying out various engineering tasks. After the first month of the refit period, the chief engineer resigned, and I was made responsible for following the refitting work for the remaining shipyard period and subsequent launch of the vessel. Also, following this period I was tasked with taking care of the AV/IT system and during the summer season following the shipyard period, I spent most of the time in the engine room helping the new chief engineer to get acquainted with the boat and its systems, not having had a proper handover from the previous chief engineer.

• Deck/Engineer on 44 m M/Y Benetti, during my boarding period, initially I was a green deckhand, taking care of washing the boat, carrying out stern watches, and helping where necessary. I also took care of the daily routines. During the winter season with a reduced crew, I also had the task of taking care of the checks and small maintenance in the engine room, I also took care of small painting jobs.

• Private daily charters on 24 m M/Y during this period, my duties were to wash the boat and help with the maneuvers. As they were daily charters, we spent most of the time with the guests at anchor.
