Highlights

• Lead EIF‘s largest reorganisation programme in history including the creation of a new organisational structure, significant horizontal staff transfers, and optimisation of value chain.
• Steered a large scale change management review of processes and policies, re-directing EIF‘s digital transformation developed under the former CEO, optimisation of EIF’s organisational structure and operations to enhance efficiency of processes and reduce costs.
• Delivered a strategy for the creation of EIF’s External offices across the EU, including the selection of representatives, defining the roles in the EIB Group context and oversight on facilities management, HR and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Chief of Staff for an organisation of 700 staff providing leadership support to CEO and help steer the institutions corporate culture.
• Chairman of the Executive and Senior Management Committee, which deals with the day-to-day management of the EIF, prepares proposals for EIF’s strategic orientations to the Board and advises the CEO.
• Chairman of the Control and Oversight Committee. This Committee is responsible for the implementation of recommendations of internal and external auditors and EIF‘s supervisor, the so called Review and evaluation process “EIB REP“ under which the EIF is subject to supervision on a consolidated basis.
• Contribute to the sound management and robust corporate administration of the Fund.
• Motivate and inspire the 700 staff across the institution leading by example.
• Oversee all HR matters on behalf of the CEO, including recruitment, sensitive staff matters, training, HR budget management, facilities and internal communication and report back to CEO.
• Facilitating interdepartmental communication and cooperation to promote synergy and address cross-functional challenges across all EIF Chiefs and departments.
• Oversee EIF‘s annual workplans and key deliverables of each EIF department.
• In cooperation with relevant EIF’s services (and the parent company EIB) maintain oversight of EIFs digital transformation process ensuring smooth and timely implementation of the updates to the IT infrastructure, new tools and applications, efficiency gains and final delivery.
• Provide advice to the CEO on strategic, operational and diplomatic issues
• In cooperation with other Senior Managers help foster knowledge sharing and partnerships with other IFIs and MDBs.

• Successfully implemented communication strategies for EIFs
• Developed and implemented strategic communication plans to increase brand awareness and engagement.
• Led the creation of new communication assets, including sales presentations, video assets, marketing collateral, publications, and a digital presence.
• Created effective proof points aligned with key messaging through the use of Social Media platforms, Blogs, and EIF thought leadership videos
• Oversaw the change management process for Brand.

• Established and created a new business area producing strategic support to the three Investment functions (Front Office) of EIF.
• Reported directly to the Chief Investment Officers of Debt and Equity and the Head of Institutional Relations ensuring regular updates and driving new initiatives.
• Implemented new strategies for deal allocation, country planning and deal flow planning.
• Oversaw operational improvements to successful see business volumes increase whilst ensuring timely delivery.
